Joining Forces at the House of Commons

On Thursday 8 December we launched our latest report, Joining Forces, at the House of Commons. The report highlights the current challenges that those leaving the Armed Forces face as they make the transition to civilian life, and puts forward our solutions to these existing problems as well as how to deal with future redundancies set to be made over the next few years at the Ministry of Defence (MoD). The launch was a success with many key figures from the MoD attending, as well as, MPs with a vested interest and media representatives from both national and trade press. The report findings were presented and then debated with a very interesting questions and answers session afterwards.

This work builds on our efforts following the creation of our strategic partnership, Force esg. The next step is to ensure that momentum is not lost since the launch and the recommendations we suggest are taken into consideration to ensure that Service Leavers are supported to release their potential.
