The Employment and Skills Group (esg.) announces the appointment of its new Chief Operating Officer for Skills
A significant board level appointment at £70m turnover skills development and welfare to work specialist the Employment and Skills Group (esg) sees the arrival of a new Chief Operating Officer, as the group continues to pursue its ambitious growth plans.
Anthony Benton has joined esg. as part of its already strong senior management team and will take the lead in directing its UK skills delivery across all group companies. Anthony will be reporting directly to Chief Executive, Gavin Freed. He brings lengthy experience of the education sector, systems, process and commercial performance.
Professionally qualified with a degree and background in Mechanical Engineering, Anthony has previously assumed leadership positions which have benefited from his systematic and pragmatic approach, most notably including his time as Managing Director of Foundation Software Solutions, Managing Director for Tribal Software and Services and more recently as COO for Tribal Education.
Anthony has successfully driven significant business improvements in his previous roles and was responsible for major organisational restructures which led to growth in both revenue and profits. Change programmes instigated by him have covered technology, processes and quality, which have been affected through inspiring people and engendering a spirit of teamwork. Most of all he believes in releasing people’s talent, building capacity and developing effective teams.
